Catalyst 4.10 Drivers

I keep trying to install these, but they are not installing. It keeps giving me a problem that says: Setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to setup your display adapter with a standard vga driver before running setup.

If anyone can help me, please do so. I need help because my previous drivers hated me also.

Maybe installing older drivers first would help?

I have a 9800 Pro if that helps any.

I had Driver Cleaner. Anyways, I figured out the problem with these. I want to go back to an Nvidia, but I just purchased my card.. :-( Oh well

Before you install the drivers you hafta go to your device manager and UNINSTALL (remove) your old card under display adapters.

Then it helps to run Driver cleaner...

after that just reboot and install the new drivers. Works like a charm everytime for me. When i got my first ati that whole thing threw me off at first till i figured it out.

Also the 9800 Pro is a excellent card just give it a chance.

I was a nvidia fan for years but after i read up on the whole FX series being crap with dx9 and not that great in general i got a 9800 pro and its very fast and does dx9 speedy.

All right. Thanks for the help. Everything is working fine. Now, all I have to do is purchase HL2 silver and see if my card can handle CS: S. Once again, thank you for the help.
