Hey everyone, I'm making a short Catwoman film and was hoping you could help me out. I've been encoding some of the preview video for psp and ive heard from a few people that it works but wanted to mass test it so to speak before i put it on the website.

Is there anyone here with a psp that can see if this video play smoothly, fullscreen, sounds good, ect? I know HL2 fans are at the cutting edge of tech so i thought i'd ask here :)

Preview for Sony PSP (14mg) http://www.catwoman-copycat.net/catwoman-firstlook-psp.zip

and for anyone else interested while im shamelessly plugging the film feel free to check out the website :rolling: www.catwoman-copycat.com

*Gets revolver out*

Oh, its not Halle Berry.

*Holsters revolver*

Don't have a PSP though. =/

Chav - why does catwoman suck??? Shes hot and kicks ass.. Im pretty sure the Elektra film was made for those reasons

It flopped because it was so awful, i saw Halle Berry do an interview about that film and she said she kinda regretted doing it, because it was THAT bad...and it really is. Dont play the 'but she gives hardness' card cos i don't care the film was appauling.

Thats fine, but im talking about CATWOMAN - you know the character.. the cat burglar, lives in Gotham City... famously played by Julie Newmar, earth Kitt, Michelle Pfiffer and yes, most recently Halle Berry.

So that's you in the catwoman outfit? May i compliment you on having an extremely FINE ass in that tight leather. You seem to be quite flexible as well...mmm could we get more promotional posters involving that leather ?

I don't get the story of Catwoman. What i learnt from Batman returns is she's a lonely, single, office worker who gets pushed out a window by Christopher Walken, then cats seem to nibble at her fingers and stuff. So what happens, she goes nuts? What's her mission what's she trying to do? All i know is Michelle Pfeifer made me feel really funny in the pants when i was a kid watching her ...hmm, too much information seems to have been revealed.

*i haven't seen the catwoman film*

May I add that there is more to Catwoman then the Halle Berry film guys. Anyway, nice teaser. The woman playing Catwoman is quite acrobatic and hawt:E.

Looks to be coming along very nicely. Whats your roles in making the fan film CBMovies?

Which catwoman are you gonna use? Frank Miller's bi-sexual dominatrix hooker or...just regular catwoman?

Why is it whenever I see the word dominatrix, I think of my mother?!
/therapy

Mr-Fusion
Nope thats not me.. The film wouldnt be half what it is if it was my ass in tight leather i assure you.

Thanks for the kind words sir. I'm the guy making the flick which means i wear many hats, directing, producing, catsuit shining and currently editing. Cant believe we shot so much footage for a short film. Its coming together great though.

Neither really but closer to regular Catwoman. Batman Returns re-wrote the Catwoman origin just like the recent Halle movie did, Its just Batman Returns was recieved a lot better. If I may quote from some forthcoming press stuff from the film

"Catwoman has always been an enormously popular character with both men and women, we wanted to showcase the sensuality, the strength, and femininity of a strong, compelling female figure. There are stories out there where Catwoman begins as a battered wife, a prostitute or a poor orphaned street kid – It’s like this idea of a totally free, totally sexy woman has to be excused, It must be manufactured from some horrific exploitation.

We present a a woman that needs no excuses: Catwoman – like so many of the non-fictional women who love her – can be sexy and playful, joyful and bitchy, witty and kinky and smart, simply because that is who she is. These are all parts of the woman animal, no ‘origin’ required. "

The Halle Berry "Catwoman" IS NOT CATWOMAN! Catwoman is Selina Kyle an abused girl who ran away and got mixed up in prostitution but got inspired after seeing Batman in action to fight back and take back. Halle Berry's character was some loser name Patience Philips who died and was revived by Cats to get superhuman powers. They are not the same!

Just wanted to point out thats only the most recent comic version of Catwoman. Originally and most often she was a Jewel thief, a Cat Burglar who loved the thrill of the chase and pushing Batman's buttons. Think the Catwoman from the animated Series.

All the versions had a thing in common though. Her name was Selina Kyle ('cept for Elseworlds.) That's why Patience Philips is not Catwoman.

Its an interesting take on the character. I think by giving her a different name they felt they could 'reboot' things. I love the docuemtary on the DVD, watching that you can see how they went in that direction easily enough. "Catwoman dies in an untimely death and is brought back to life" that could be Returns or Halle's movie. They just went that little bit extra n gave her cat powers. :rolling:

Well I wouldn't have minded it as much if the movie didn't suck so hard it was a complete vacuum. And the fact that they had to give Halle the worst costume since Batman and Robin's nipple suits.

Why couldn't they get Ed Brubaker or Frank Miller to help with the script?

If they'd given it to Ed Brubaker they might have provoked a worse reaction. One thing i've found is that a great deal of Catwoman fans don't take kindly to Brubaker's vision, the whole reformed whore angle doesn't work for them.

Halle Berry's Catwoman had no relationship to the DC Comics one, as far as I'm concerned. Different name, different color, different location, cat powers, and not even a hint to the rest of the comic universe. Of course, that's only going off of what I saw. I really couldn't bring myself to finish that disaster.

Awards (Eisners anyone?)and praise aren't very kindly are they? And the reformed whore angle was the invention of Frank Miller. Weren't you there for all the bashing pre and post release of the Catwoman movie?

Ed Bruabaker may have scared away many Jim Balent followers and dirty old men but started a whole religion with his run. It helped get different forms of art into mainstream comics. The Relentless arc gave me dreams about how it was going to end until it was finally over.

Too bad he's exclusive to Marvel now. Gotham Central isn't the same without him and Michael Lark. That's like Half-Life without Marc Laidlaw and Ted Backman.

I guess my point was theres lots of fans of each Catwoman, from early incarnations to Halle Berry and the comic run.
seriously.. no one has a psp.. i thought Sony shifted millions of the blighters..

Brubaker and Miller gave Catwoman a deeper background and well...just made it better in my opinion. They definetly would've had something great on their hands if they wrote the script.
