Christ Centered Game Reviews... even the title is enough to make me squirm nervously. The web page is here. Most of you have probably heard of them before, but if you haven't, here's a description of their site- they write reviews of games, but from an EXTREEEEEMLY christians point of view, bringing in factors such as appropriateness, and this often brings down reviews as much as thirty or forty percent what they would have been, had the reviewer not been a complete ass. Not to mention that besides being retarded, the reviews are poorly written, and they don?t seem to be able to tipe proply.

Seriously, some of the reviewers on there, claiming to be 21 or 22 years old or whatever, seem to have the mentality of a six-year-old child who's parents brought him up in a white-painted house with no TV and never breast-fed him. Cheer-ist. I don't know if I've ever told you guys how much I hate sober white people. Or christians. Hate.

If you are offended, I really hope you are. You should be. If you are offended, you deserve to be offended by what I'm saying. Or typing. I count myself lucky I've never met anybody like those on that website, because I'm sure that if I did, I wouldn't be here right now, because I'd be in juvie for violent assault. Good day.

Site's review for HL2:EP1 said:
-4 for violence
-2.5 for blood spray
-2.5 for gruesome details

There is language and blasphemy too.
PG13 language –4
Using God’s name in vein –5

I only read 1 review, and it wasn't that bad.. Splinter Cell 3 - 85%
He actually said it should be rated teen (14+) instead of mature..

EDIT: Just read the Doom review.. 73.. I don't see the problems in these reviews besides HL2: EP1...

I'm not a christian or anything.. I don't see any problems with these reviews except the score -'s for "Blasphemy" or "Using gods name in vein"... I just ignored those stupid parts.. and any other parts that I disagreed with..

site's review for Shadow of the Colussus said:
The biggest things that Christians have to worry about are the references to a
different god controlling the world, as well as a few elements that appear almost demonic in nature

On a positive note, there is
a bit of a positive moral lesson in the game, as the game gives a parallel of sorts to the lesson of not messing with the occult

i see :|

yea they also gave Prenumbra a good review.

if I was worried about some of the things they are (F-bombs, improper use of the lords name, etc) I'd probably use this site. no Raging christian theme going on.

On a positive note there is no sexual content other than Dr. Breen broadcasting that people should procreate to save the human race.

Whoops.

The game play is pretty short.

Maybe if you reviewers stopped playing on Easy.

Wrong character name is all. A key rule for reviewing something its getting all the character's names right.

As for the short comment atleast the $20 reasoning was used.

I don't see much wrong with these reviews. The only think I noticed is that the guy who reviewed Doom 3 didn't seem to realise you where fighting evil and they never seem to bring up the moral implications of fighting non-human sentients. I'll have a look at the Silent Hill ones.

Edit:
That was disappointing (the Silent Hill 2 review)
!SPOILERS!
This is supposed to be a Christian review and he ignores moral issues like suicide, euthanasia, murder, rape, cruelty and fantasy/escaping from reality.
