CD install trouble

I bought hl2 at best buy, I'm installing it from the disks and when I get down to disk 5 it will go like it's installing for a while then tell me to "insert disk 5", like I just finished 4 again or something.

Any ideas, I've double checked and the disk looks super clean - after some more trouble I even cleaned it more myself.

yea noone tells me shit niether , and my game wont install..........I only got 1 cd ( original ) , I dont know how many ****nig versions are out there , and what one is the real game , But i payed £35.99 for it , so it better be right....

i had problems installing the five CDs as well. i then realized my errors were due to problems the CD drive was having in reading the disk. so i just went out and bought a new CD drive, installed HL2, and returned the CD drive.
