cd key

Hi Guys,
Ive just purchased a copy of hl2 from ebay my problem is that it has arrived with no cd key. I purchased the game from the US and it arrived in a large box that looks original and was sealed. The box contained 5 discs and a quick ref card, I am assuming that the manual contains the cd key code and that is missing.
Could anyone help me with info on how to gain a cd key number pleeease.

Buy another one. Heh, even less help.

There was a previous post like this, apparently you can buy a new key from steam/valve/whoever for a tenner. So if you saved any money, it may work out the same cost as the full priced game.

If you buy it over the counter at least you can return to the counter with a shotgun. No don't take the shotgun, the reciept will do just fine.

Once a key is registered the discs may as well be used as coasters. You been had, he probably ripped the cds. Stupid copy protection has led to genuine purchasers getting ripped off with nowhere to go.

You could allways report the guy who sold it to ebay, give him very bad feedback and maybe get his account cancelled. If he has a lot of good feedback he will be mightly pissed off when he cant log in!

The CD Key isn't on the manual... there is no manual. It is on the back of the paper-CD-case for the first disc. If its not there I dunno what to tell you, but I was freaking out because it took me a while to find out it was just on the back

Utah466, dont be such an ass. You should have done your research on HL2 and realised its rather stupid to buy a game, that can only have its cdkey used once, second hand.
