Cd-rom/dvd-rom

hi, my dvd-rom and my cd-rom are not working (not disabled but not currently running) i have tried system restore, i also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the same thing keeps on happening, this started yesterday night after i ran live update (norton live update) i restarted, so after i restarted i noticed that my CD ROM'S where gone

any ideas?

(And i already Clicked troubleshoot no help at all..)

make sure the Master and Slave jumpers are correct
and are those virtual CD Drives, if so, try disabling them altogether

i disabled those NERO Drivers, and yeah the master and slave jumper are perfect

well, we want to identify it its windows being a prick or if its maybe a hardware issue

as soon as you turn on ur computer, press delete and go into the BIOS.
can you see your CD-ROM and DVD drives there, and does it identify them properly?

yeah it shows them good both enabled

Check the power connectors on both inside. Just push the wires in to make sure there is contact.
