At 11:47 AM on the 30th of September2007 I posted in the Garrys Mod section of this forum. It is now 8:53 PM on the 4th of October.:O

Thats, what, Four days? And not one single person has posted anything there. Now I relise that this is not a GMOD forum, but four days? And it not just that section. Many other sections seem to hit occasional standstills, where I feel like the only person on here.

Now I don't know if this is wrong, but I think it would be nice if more common posting was "encouraged". How? I have no idea. But I think it would be nice if somthing made people want to post, beside the rank under our name. Any suggestions?

I might make a list of suggested ideas, or not.

I was sad that the fan-fic section is dead. I think Writing topics ought to be merged into the art forum, might get some stuff there like poetry and such.

Other forums being dead is sometimes just because their topic is 'old', like DoD...

I had that virtual store idea, but the thread got locked, and I got shunned. That'd make people want to post more. For damn sure.

Sounds like you have things backwards, man. People post because they have something to say. If nobody has anything to say, there's no point in posting meaningless filler just to keep a section active. The post ranks isn't what makes people want to post... People wanting to share their ideas/answer questions/etc. is what makes people want to post. Post ranks may be a small incentive to encourage people to post their ideas, but it's not the primary reason. So like I said, you have it backwards, really. What you should be looking for is more incentives, just like the post ranks.

Though personally I don't think the slow sections are a problem at all.

What Vegeta said really, sections go dead, they come and go. Like the Oblivion section etc. It's not a bad thing, because at the time they are of fantastic help and great discussion. As things die away and move on...

So...when you going to delete the BF2 section?

I'm trying to keep that section going by posting major mod releases and the like.

Not working too well though. :(

With the release of TF2, every other game has been put on the back burners of the back burners...Sorry :(

TF2's fun, but it isn't fun enough to keep my attention away from anything else. :X

Things come and go - i know i'm going to be writing Fan Fiction next year as a warm up when I start writing my personal fiction - but things ebo and flow.

Cretin Sections Neglected?

Been on this forum for, oooooo, all of 5 days now and It already depresses me how little input/output/processing there is in the Editing forum. Now, maybe there could be a series of new tutorials posted (working on some myself), or maybe you could just update some of the links. May bring more people in?
