Changable ROF in CS:S

Would it be possible to include changable Rate of Fire(Singel shot, 3 round burst, full auto) in CS:S?
I dont think its hard to include. It wouldent be a huge difference, just a new feature. Something similar to the FAMAS, but a separat button.
 
It's possible, but.. why? It slows gameplay down.. would completely change how CS is played.

CS is, to a certain point a tactical shooter. But it's also got a very DM-like feel to it. Don't turn it into R6..
 
Just wait for CS2. I'm sure VALVe will turn that into a run-of-the-mill, boring, tactical shooter with ROF, stamina, proning, leaning, and all that other crap that makes all those other games seem so standard and boring.

Bah...shuzer beat me.Guys this is a port of CS 1.6 to the source engine.Mkkkkk....THIS IS NOT RAINBOW ****ING SIX OR SOLDIER OF FORTUNE!!!When are you gonnna see that???All there gonna do it take out some stuff and add minor things!There not gonna add prone or iron sights or anything of that nature.It's all gonna stay the same except for some minor details.They might add diffrent crosshairs or colors to names...but thats all.I don't understand why people keep saying "oh noes!!!It's not realistic like it says on the site...lets add prone and lean and all that bullshit".

I almost agree with all you said, I just dident think this would be that much of a deal.
Besides, i knew they wouldent add it just because someone asked. I was just woundering what ppl here think. No need to exagregate like that.

I doubt vavle would make CS2 boring generic. I would kind of like to see a happy mix of TFC and CS for it though. And A little bit faster, Just a tiny bit, to keep things more lively, and to keep the distance from other tatical shooters. but also, the speed would help to counter act awping. faster targets are harder to hit.
 
If you want to counter act awping...then get enough money and awp the bastard that awped you.Not that hard....Well thats if your good tho...
 
I serious never have had a major problem with awp other than its a bit easy. Faster running speed, and pow, its harder. I think it would make it more fun to awp.

The only reason I believe VALVe will make CS2 slow and boring is that they've been progressively making CS slower and more boring.
 
Guys cs:s isnt a sequel, its only going to be CS + HL2 SOURCE ENGINE -SHIELD=CS:S!!!
 
Which guns are you talking about for these ROF? Aug Colt Ak SG552?
 
kungfu, yes, the glock has a ROF option. But, that's to balance out the glock. It sorta sucks..

The FAMAS also has ROF. I dunno, I just don't want to see it added to the colt, mp5, and all the other guns.. it'd be annoying, IMO
 
It would change the gameplay of cs in a major way. Because a semi-auto ROF would be far more accurate (which is the point of ROF) so it would turn into some snipe fest with assault rifles.

The thing is, CS2 when it does come, has a HUGE game to follow up. Quite possiblely the biggest game. I just pray it wont be a matrix trilogy type thing.
 
are you not able to do it manually?
burst, single shot, pressed, ...
all you noobs want is for the game to become easier and easier and slower and slower.

noone would use it anyways, noone uses burst fire that often in rainbow six, they just fire on full auto and time their burst, just like people do in cs as it is now.
 
I always play with fullauto, in other games too. for a single shot i tap the mouse button otherwise i hold it down. its not that hard or?
and you have much more control. consider this: iam in a long distance fight with tapping the mousebutton. then suddenly someone is coming around the corner in front of me then im able to hold down the button. better than pushing the goddamn rof button and die because i shoot too late D:
