Im not to sure.

Not alot of info has been released about them.
But I dont see why you couldnt just turn down the setings and play.

They are just high end levels, not necessarily ATI levels, I'm sure they'll run on Nvidia hardware, but a bit slower. I doubt anyone with a card <X800/6800(LE) will be able to run it. Purely assumption, of course, but I'm sure they are going to turn stuff like HDR up, with all kinds of bloom and glare effects, and maybe even some DOF.

Well I think everyone who can run HL2, can run the ATI maps. They are just so heavy for the gfx card, that you need a high-end card to run them with a decent fps.

they did not screw ATI. valve is not stupid enough to cut off just over 50% of their customers in favor of 38%.

Awhile back ATI reserved Alcatraz Island in California just to announce the coming of Half-Life 2. ATI and people alike were awaiting new trailers to be seen as well. But that didn't happen, Gabe made a speech and I think showed a video of what Source is capable of and thats pretty much it. It costed ATI quite alot of money to reserve the whole island as you may know.

ValvE, I think is going to be making specific Half-Life 2 levels for ATI customers, but none of us are actually sure. I think it might be available for all to play but like I said, not sure....
