Checking DATA

At first I am logging in Steam in offline mode.
Then when I want to start HL2 Steam will check my DATA.
But I am in offline mode and so comes a message like "This process cannot be finished in offline mode" and the HL 2 startup is aborted.
And when I want to play CS Source in offline mode there also comes the message"This process cannot be finished in offline mode" and CS Source startup is aborted.

What's the probelm ?

HL2 is not running

I hate Steam.
Nothing is different and I cannot play HL2 and CS Source.

I recently made this webpage: Steam Applications Maintenance. You should try validating your Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike Source and Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, maybe that will solve it.

You can't play CS:Source in offline mode, anyway. It's multiplayer, goof!

I am sorry but the solution for the problem.
This checking did not solve.

It seems to be a common problem but I haven't found the solution. I'd try shutting down Steam, deleting or removing the file:

ClientRegistry.blob

And then restart Steam. It probably won't help but it's worth a try.

When I delete this file i can't start STeam.
