Crikay, I haven't listened to my Children of Bodom CD's in ages. May give one a spin tonight, I remember Follow the Reaper was an excellent album. I also loved Hate Crew Deathroll alot, but I never really got into... err, the green album. Wassat one called? Whatever. It never stood out to me as much, but I never listened to it as much as the other 2. May give that one a listen to tonight actually, give it another shot n' all.

Devin Townsend is the man behind the band Strapping Young Lad. He's also the man behind the diversity-in-a-can band The Devin Townsend Band. He's in a hella lot more, kinda like the metal version of Mike Patton. In my own honest opinion, I think he's a genius.

Go and check out the two bands newest releases' The Devin Townsend Band - Synchestra and SYL - Alien. Both are amazing albums.

SYL are the more metal band, combinding speed/thrash metal with industrial-ish sort've stuff. The Devin Townsend Band are... well, their just weird. Heavy folk country progressive experimental speed metal? I don't know.

Yeah theyre a kickass band, i used to listen to them a lot, but then I discovered a band called In Flames, some say theyre like a darker Bodom, but honestly, they have to be the best modern metal around.

yea, in flames were my favourite band for years, but seeing as the last 3 albums they've released have been terrible, ive moved on to bodom. my favourites atm would be living dead beat, children of bodom, kissing the shadows, mask of sanity and children of decadence.
