children of men opens tomorrow in USA

I definitely will, but probably not tomorrow.
 
I'm pretty sure it doesn't come out in Raleigh for another week or so.

I really, really want to see it though.
 
Not ashamed to admit I watched a bootleg... which only made me wanna see it in theaters so much more. I'll be seeing it at least two times to make up for pirating it because of my impatience.

Certainly in my top 5 films of the year. And as it's been a very good year for films, that is no small accolade.

The 10 minute long, single take action sequence is one of the most jaw-dropping I've ever seen.
 
I haven't seen it but from what I've heard it's quite similar to Half-Life 2 in terms of certain set-pieces and the way the story is told.
 
Now it REALLY opens tomorrow over here. Along with Pan's Labryinth too, I believe.

I'm gonna have a busy weekend.
 
Can't, its not playing within a hundred miles of here. But when/if it hits wider release I'll be there.

Understandable. It was only playing in one theater in the MD/DC/NOVA area. ONE DAMN THEATER! But it's a good theater.
 
I'd like to know how there has been no local hype spewing outlets in my area. I haven't heard of it out of anyone. D:
 
^ probably because the people in charge of movies in the USA have deemed cod not to be blockbuster material.
 
I guess I spoke too soon. They played two commercials today which explained what the movie was about pretty good; not to mention that they included a Muse track during them. :D
 
I wouldn't expect any real huge advertising until it hits wide release.

I just saw this yesterday, totally worth the hour drive I needed to make to do so. One of the best films in a while. It has literally every element you can look for in a good movie...except sex (sorry guys).
 
Children of Men hits wider release in the US today. I'm seeing it tonight.
 
Can't wait to see it again tomorrow night now that I don't have to drive an hour. w00t!
 
Just finished watching this.

This film is one of the best I have ever seen. Disgustingly realistic, gritty, and the entire concept in action makes me scared of our future. I can't recommend this film enough.

Easily one of the best films in the last 10 years in cinema history. Its epic. Truly, truly epic. Excellent camera work, even if it seems a bit like 'amatuer footage' style where the camera shakes around, but that just sucks you in even more. Epic story. Great choice of actors. Its just so...wow

And i cant believe its taken forever to get to the US???? Heck, its even on the net already, saw it like 2 months ago here in the UK haha

One of the best films I've seen in theaters in a long time. Thoroughly impressed. Can't recommend it enough.

Jesus Christ, how long were some of those takes? It felt like forever. How could they have choreographed all that in a single take and made it look 20 times more real than pretty much anything I've seen. They must've hidden cuts somewhere in there, I was too engrossed in the film to notice.

In conclusion, go see it.
