I'll keep this short, in my topic about video cards someone told me I should upload some of my pictures (as i'm a student in photography), so those are the ones I have at hand right now...

Comments and feedback are welcome.

I really like them.

My only gripe is that they don't seem to be centered... well, perfectly :P I'm pretty OCD about those things, and it's especially noticeable in the last pic, where I would have lined up the middle fence poles in the fore- and background. Unless the slightly-off-center feel was what you were going for.

The first two, with the paint splotches, are very nice.

Meh, seems like somebody's maybe trying a little too hard to be artsy.

Don't get me wrong, I love Black and White, and I love photos that you have to think about, but cmon, splotches on a wall?

not my thing I guess : /

Really though, there's no focus to the pictures, and they're WAY too flat.

Play around with dimension, shape, perspective, etc.

I felt the same about that picture, but if you go in photoshop and put and use the ruler tool, you'll the picture IS straight, I agree with you maybe the one of the train wagon (gouvernement du canada) maybe be a bit off, i'm still not done with this one.

Well, pictures are in black & white because of the exigences of my classes, when we will be doing color pictures, i'll be doing color pictures (but textures come out better in black and white).

And yeah, i'm a big fan of graphical picture, that play on lines and textures, i'm less attracted by persepctives and people. But I know not everyone has the same approach as me.
What you don't like about these pictures is in fact, what I like about them, the abstract and the emptyness.

Pretty sweet looking. Keep up the good work.

*grumble wish I was as good as him..grumble*

Great stuff!

The problem with centred lines in photos is that your eye will always be trying to figure out whether stuff is indeed dead centre, even if the lines are pixel-perfect. Keeping things off-centre gets rid of this 'eye-battle' problem, which I believe is one of the reasons why the 'rule of thirds' often works well.

Gtfo.

I like them. A lot, actually.

Thanks, graphical pictures are not mainstream genre (well, in fact they are, but less so than landscapes or portraits) so I'm usually happy when I find someone who likes that style.

I'll probably upload some more by the end of the semester.
