City of Heroes / Good vs. Evil edition..?

So, I've been thinking about getting back into City of Heroes *Though it goes against all I've ever believed about paying monthly...

So, anybody else playing this? I've not heard of anybody really playing it. I enjoyed the game when I played it, and it's kind of fun.

Personally I played the trial and found it just dull as ever, I can't stand how static and bland everything feels. Movement and combat felt like a chore :|. I've been spoiled by WoW's attention to detail and easy to use interface.

I've been fairly interested in trying this game but I just don't know if it would be for me.
I hate MMORPGs where the combat is simply pressing a button and watching your guy play out attack animations.
You don't have to aim or anything.

I used to play CoV. Game was pretty fun, but I fell out of it.

I do.
I migrated from SWG to it years ago.
It's the only mmo that i am currently playing.
Well,on and off anyways.
I Am currently taking a break from it till issue 11 comes out.
Which should be out in December they say.
I love it.It's very team oriented compared to other mmo's.
There's a great variety of classes which offer a lot of replayability.
The developers have improved the visuals of the game and they keep adding new content to it.Including new classes.
The best part is the character customability of the game.
The possibilities are endless.
I sometimes get caught up for hours just playing around and figuring out a look for my newest character.It's like a mini game.
It just great fun to hop in with my low lvl toon and start gloating.
CoV is a poor example of the series.
CoH has most of the community and it tends to be very empty on the CoV side.
Not to mention the poor layout and overall depressing in game architecture that CoV has.
If you are interested in coming back then hop onto the Freedom server and i'll hook you up with a Supergroup and some money to cover yer expenses.

I played CoH for a year, and I really did have fun with it. I joined a Electric Heroes Guild, it was pretty sweet. I personally think the powers that you can get at different levels are superb.

THe locations are huge, the missions aren't too bad. You meet a lot of great people in Paragon City. I'd say, just give it a try for a month or two, if your not into it, you can always just cancel.

I just got through trying the trial and it's a yawn fest... thought it'd be more actiony instead of WoW with tights.

I played for a while but got bored eventually, but that happens to me with most MMOs unless I really like my guild (Or in CoH's case supergroup)

It's boring alone. It's marginally improved with friends, but I'd wait for Champions.
