City13: a HalfLife2 MP mod, where the story of HL2 ended.
Based on teamwork and objectives. The game will mostly consist out of HUGE maps, in every terrain and situation possible. Fighting the long battle between the Combine and Resistance.

so if city 17 is eastern europe themed, what is the theme of city 13?
 
are you playing on the side of the resistance or combine?

i want to be able to use the stun stick, sniper rifle, manhacks, rollermines, travel in a dropship, pilot a chopper and all sorts of things that you know you have to include
 
Nice progress, Shunt. The level design is really coming together in that screen. Looking forward to this, and I hope you get all the help you need!
 
To awnser all:

The mod will be MP, meaning you pick your side, either Combine or Resistance.

Gameplay will be like Deathmatch, but most likely less physics, since thats like hell, and will be really bad when playing on a huge 128 player battlefield.

Most maps will have unique objectives, like saving/killing a vehicle, escaping, or defending an area. There may be other maps as well that are more like Deathmatch, but just big, badass and fun.

The Idea was to have the mod an a fictional US city, but since the HL2 story says the US was completely destroyed, we're looking into it...

Ah, this was more interesting when I thought it was SP for a moment there.
 
this mod is very interesting. i like the concept. just PLEASE get some good player models. some mods look great but their player models look like shit.
 
the font is horrid and the text color doesn't really go (the font might work if the text was different though).

Great screenshot, very atmospheric, just clashes with the text colors and font in a bad way.
 
How many different gametypes will it include ? Will it have more weapons than Hl2dm? Are the physics going to be like Css ?(they're not so bad)
I am very interested :p

As much as wel can think of, as anyone has any idea's for gamemodes, please let me know.

Some will be left out, since they're typically gordon's, and some will be reskinned. And we'll add a few weapons ourselves.

The physics of CSS suck (no offence it is just my opinion), if you crouch behind a barrel it mysteriously pushes you back when it is far, far away from you :|

I love that, im sad like that, i even let out a cheer when i saw the Doc on the big screen in HL2. *wipes tear*
 
you need better artwork to seem more serious imo.
 
It's just a concept art. You don't really expect to see it better just like the original concept art drawers, do you...?
