how come when i put this in the the dev console at the main menu it dones't work on the server and when i change server it is back to cl_ragdoll_collide 0 is there anyway to make this work so it save and works on any server i go on

Create an 'autoexec.txt' in your 'cstrike' folder, put 'cl_ragdoll_collide 1' in it, save, and then rename the file to 'autoexec.cfg' . that should work.

i have put it in E:\Steam\SteamApps\MyName\counter-strike source is this the right folder 2 put it in or do i put it somewere else

No, the autoexec.cfg goes in the cfg folder in your counter-strike source folder.

Make sure its in the right place and spelled correctly. Otherwise, when you're in CS:S, try exec itsname.
