Clam down guys, there may be an upside to this delay

This delay will give people more time to buy/upgrade their PC's. Surely you can wait 2-3 more months until Half-life 2.

although many people already upgraded for the 30th when now they will probably take back their hardware so prices can drop by the time hl2 comes out. what a pain!

On the flipside, a LOT of people JUST upgraded their PC's, and payed a LOT more then they would have had to a week before relese.

I just payed 366 euros for my Radeon 9800 Pro .. and I want to use it NOW! newayz the benchmark tool will come the 30th .. so that's one good thing :s (just one weiiih) But it'll suck if I have less FPS then the peeps who just got their 9800XT's Oh well more then enough though

YES! Its a perfect scheme by ATI. First you hype it incredibly on the 9800 Pro, sells loads of it just because of HL2. Then you announce the delay... And then you release 9800XT!!! All the 9800 Pro owners will think "WTF?! MEH SLOW 9800PRO WILL SUXORZ!! NEEDZ A 9800XT!!!!!!!!1111!!" and will upgrade, spending a crapload of money.

The perfect scheme...

I just ordered new parts from newegg.. like literally ~8 hours before the delay info. athlon xp 2800, 512 corsair xms ddr, wd raptor HDD, sapphire radeon 9800 pro .. ugg hope its still ok by the time HL2 freakin comes out heh
