Classical Music

Recently, after hearing Mozart's "Lacrimosa", I have realized how beautiful Classic music is.

And I was just curious if any of the more cultured people on this forums have any good classical music they could suggest to me.

Please, I mind my is eroding in the world of rap and hip-hop.

I enjoy a couple Symphonies but I'm not a big fan of classical music.
However, I love classical instruments very much. Most classical music has sort of boring tunes, but I really like violins and pianos. More sophisticated music with classical instruments, like Apocalyptica's stuff, the Gears soundtrack or Marty O'Donnell's stuff or the intro to Scorpion's Hurricane 2000, shyte like that is pretty damn awesome.

(also, don't call me a fanboy, just because the music is from a video game I happen like doesn't mean it can't be awesome)

Also, I'm totally with you about rap and hip-hop, so popular but so overrated.

I mostly only like later classical music -- Romantic/Impressionist/Modern.

Examples:
Beethoven's symphonies
Berlioz - Symphonie Fantastique
Debussy - piano pieces
Arvo Part - modern choral and orchestral pieces -- I especially like "Fratres"
Philip Glass - piano pieces
