Wow...wow...and wow again.

I just got home from a classical music concert at the M.E.N Arena in Manchester, and it was amazing. I really had no idea that classical music could be so good. I've always liked it I suppose, but this concert was just awesome. The acoustics were great, the lighting was fantastic and they even had lasers which added to the performance to no end.

They played quite a variety of songs, most of them are the more famous ones. A few that stood out(All of them I suppose :P) in order of how they were played. Zadok the Priest, The Liberty Bell March, Pomp and Circumstance March No 1 (I think its the right one that I'm thinking of...), Rule! Britannia :D The whole audience sang in parts of that one, and it was all just fantastic :D. And opf coruse...the finale, 1812 Overture. They even had the cannon and muskets of the Moscow Militia, as well as a lot of fireworks (inside I might add). Now that was great.

The thing that always anoyed me about classical music is that it starts something, you catch onto an intresting sounding chord progression or melody, it goes back on itself and changes, loosing what it had built up.
Glad you enjoyed it though!
