Old news to some probably.

J.J. Abrams is a marketing genius I will give him that, however I am going to take the not-so-popular road and say; ?I did not like Cloverfield.? I just kept thinking did people really fall for a Blair Witch all over again?

It doesn?t matter if I liked it or not because the popular vote is that it was a entertaining movie, so that should mean a sequel will make money again. So my other question is; ?Do we really need another year long viral marketing campaign for the sequel?? Well we are getting one anyway. So strap yourselves in for months of rumors, viral videos, and grainy pictures, because Cloverfield is here to stay.

Below are some of the first reported pictures from Cloverfield 2 plus you can check out some kind of transcript here. Nothing really exciting but it is a start.

Read everything I could find on the first campaign and never saw these. First one looks like Clover. Second one looks like the parasites on the sea bed. Transcript is difficult to read, but to summarize it, some guys on the ocean floor talking about T.I.D.O. WAVE and then getting eaten by the parasites or something.

I followed the Cloverfield ARG from beginning to end, so im glad to see its been brought back to life. I also loved cloverfield so I can't wait to see where this goes.

The only way I can see it going is a sort of documentary style film, or something focusing on other events such as Tagruato, T.I.D.O. WAVE and Slusho. Maybe even some military intel or another first person account.

I thought the whole viral thing was stupid.
Why whould i want to watch hundreds of stupid internet sites to understand a movie that's basicly just a godzila that can't be destroyed?

I mean wtf is Tagruato, T.I.D.O. WAVE and Slusho? Explain it in the film or just **** it!

Would've killed the movie. You're supposed to know as much as the people filming which is: Nothing.Really in the movie they only make some really small references to the viral marketing so its not like you missed out.The only good information you were able to get from the viral marketing was "This thing came from the sea, and its probably pissed due to some deep sea drilling".

And yeah Willie, It'll probably be some kind of documentary on Tagruato's Deep Sea drilling projects and all that.

Yeah, but thats the thing. With all the shit the viral marketing spaned, with myspace pages and slusho sites, what did we find out?

ooO, it's from the sea! Youkinda knew that from the movie too... If you saw the black dot on ****ing youtube crash in the sea. (if that was the monster or just what woke it up, whatever)

But that i can take, I like my little eastereggs in movies. Not outside.

Well actually the black dot was a Tagruato Satellite :D

That one was pretty much just for people who were following the viral game

Duh, because it's only like the coolest thing in the universe. Viral marketing man!!!

It gives you more backstory about what's going on. It would be stupid to just reveal every damn thing all in one go.

I missed much of the first viral marketing campaign, and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I'm down for another.

That's interesting, to bad CLOVERFIELD FUKING SUCKS!

*runs away*

thats a ****ing weird direction to go in.

cool though.

Well we know it came from the ocean, I guess in a sequel they can explain what the hell it really is and how deep from the ocean it came from. There isn't really any other mysteries out there that'll surprise us really in a sequel, that is unless they decide to throw in some other bizarro shit like maybe cloverfield came from the ocean but it's egg came from outer space n shit lol.

Well there is some footage of a meteor crashing in the ocean in the first Cloverfield when they show the tape of the couple at the amusement park. It's off in the distance and very small, but you can see it, all them Cloverfield nerds know about it.

Er, satellite, what Willie said.
