OK, I'm not sure what the deal here is, but thankfully it's not a huge problem per se. It is however, baking, as they say, my noodle. Some of the native windows commands aren't working on my mom's laptop (the most irritating piece of hardware ever built by man). Ctrl-Alt-Del being the biggest one, sometimes (very rarely) returning an application termination error... wtf am I supposed to do to exit non-responsive programs if the task manager doesn't work? That's rare, though, so it doesn't bother me much. One that's bothering me more is IPCONFIG, which returns a termination error whenever I try to run it. I think it's connected to the failure of Network Stumbler (a very helpful (when functional) utility for finding wireless networks), which started failing a few months ago.
Anythoughts you might have would be excellent.
(If it matters, it's XP Pro, SP 2 (I think, though the problems aren't connected directly, since it's been so long since SP2's release), P3 Mobile (?), etc...)
