One would imagine so. Although quite how much more game developers can squeeze out of the tired premise that is WW2 remains to be seen.
Sadly, I reckon they'll whore it out some more for quite a while yet.

I hope it's the vietnam war, they said the COD "anthology" would follow all of the historic wars of our time. Vietnam fps's have been seriously lacking and pc gurus keep saying the end of wwII has come and the era of 'nam games is upon us. Although I have yet to see any proof of this as all vietnam games that are released are mediocre to utter crap. :|

They never said they woud cover absolutely ever millitary conflict they have to market this to mass audiences. This is purely speculation remember ;p i'd like to see it based on vietnam, I never said it was announced. I just wish because that would be neat

I'm still unhappy that they never included a Canadian campaign in the original or the expansion(s). They mentioned Canadian infantry untis in the first American Campaign, but no playable Canadians soldiers.

Hopefully there will be a Canadian campaign in the future. :E

A canadian campaign would be kool, especially world war 1 and the Somme battle. I think it'll b vietnam though.... but aslong as it has the great scenes if #1 in #2, it'll be great

I agree, canadian involvement in the war is always downplayed even though they played an important role. They joined the allies (france australia, britain, New Zealand) days after they declared war on germany ..and 2 full years before the US joined

Edit - The fact that WWII games have become stale aside, CoD was one mean game. Sweet SP campaign, but this game really shines in the multiplayer area. Some may smite me for saying so, but it sure beats CS.

But about WWII games, the weapons are sweet. Dunno what I'd do without my Kar98

CoD was a great game. No other game really gave immersion, even if CoD was really scripted in the AI part.

CoD simply gave you a new feeling about the war. It kinda showed you, and told you that hey one man didn't win it. It took tons of brave soliders to take it. From stalingrad to up in the skies(Cod:UO).

Battlefield 1942 never really gave a feeling that...welll the feeling cod just gave.

Right away CoD had a great story that pushed you right into the battle and gave an atmosphere so think and real that you just had to give in and love the immersion.
Right away after that first beacon, you hear the noise. You see airplanes drop bombs, get shot down, tons of troops parachuting from the skies. Taking cover after machine guns were firing at you.

Drawdropping it was the first time I played it.
