Hey all.
Just got my new PCGP (dutch) and it has a Call of Duty 2 preview. The NDA expired today, so they're the first one's to let us know

Few things I got from quick-reading the preview

• new engine
• volumetric dust/smoke
• dynamic lights/shadows
• advanced specular maps
• dynamic weather effects (sandstorm, rain, fog ...)
• improved sound system
• new Battle Chatter System (every soldier has his own vocabulary of about 500-750 words)
• facial animations
• large outdoor locations
• 3 campains (brittain, russia and america)
• Q4 2005

Got PCGP today. Cool feature. The screenshots look very nice. I am very interested in the open ended gameplay, esp. how "open" it will be.

Q4 2005. And I thought CoD2 was PC-only.

There is no release date but they're aiming for a Fall release. CoD is one of the best online shooters I've ever played so I can't wait for this game. I hope they focus on what made the first one so great, and not so much on the vehicles.

Yeah, just got my copy of Pcgamer in and saw the previews. The Screenshots are amazing, I even thought I was looking at concept Art for a minute untill I realized it was actual in-game Screens, infact i havent actually read the review but gogling over the pictures

...and I want a Canadian campaign. Why can't I have the damn Canadian campaign. They teased me about it in the first game; they didn't include it in either of the expansions; I wanna play as one of the Canucks.
