COD 4 Modern Warfare E3 Trailer

Pripyat, Chernobyl, where have we seen that before :p looks intense, hopefully the change of setting will breath some new life into the gameplay...

Any trailer that features BRDMs, BMPs and Russians is awsome in my book.

I didn't really like CoD2 that much, so I am excited to see if they can make the gameplay more compelling and fun.

It looks really compelling. Plus whatever they are paying the animators it's not enough. Although I base that mostly on the previous video, with the first person camera, and the awesome reload and shoot animations of the weapons.

I hope so, but I'm not holding my breath. From the trailer the graphics appear to be the same as in CoD2, crap. Also the trailer almost insinuates that the US caused Chernobyl WTF? Oh yeah, and by the sound of the gunfire it looks like well "enjoy" the same ****ed up puny gun sounds as in previous CoD games....

Tell me! Chernobyl is so familiar to me but I can't think why. :( Is that where the power plant disaster was?

Remus, well considering the incredibly huge amount of money Chernobyl cost the Soviet Union in liquidation etc and containment, it was pretty much one of the main factors leading to the Soviet Unions collapse, and there have been many theories about the US being involved with it in one way or another.

Looks like a pretty rocking multiplayer game. Tbh I'm 10 times more concerned about that than how the SP turns out. As long as it's just as fun as past CoD games in that regard, I'll be sold.

Edit - Goddamnit if you guys get this thread shifted to politics there's gonna be some shattered tibias in here.

I recommend all you guys read through the Wikipedia article on this game.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_of_Duty_4:_Modern_Warfare

I quote

"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has been announced to have a new mode called "Realism Mode". In Realism mode, a single shot in the chest, heart, etc. can kill while getting shot in the leg will cause you to fall down."

Sounds awsome imo.

lol, really rips of stalker. but gameplay looks nice

Gameplay still looks as gung-ho as the previous COD games, but it does look entertaining. I'm more intrested in the MP to be honest. I know IW didn't do COD3, but the MP in that is awesome, so they'd be idiots not to do down that path and instead revert back to COD2 MP which was, for the most part, close quaters, frantic deathmatch style stuff. Vehicles ftw.

I hope realism mode slows it down because it looks too fast multiplayer, like Quakewars, which sucks imo.

why they have trailers so cheesy?

i just needed jack bauer jumping from helicopter trowing a missile from his hand to osama bin laden

damn i gotta admit, im pretty pumped about this game now
it looks incredible... the animations are just so fluid and what ive seen of the pre-alpha gameplay looks great (multiplayer)

Why the hell would you send troops through Pripyat, apart from getting your limbs bitten off by mutant dogs, you will also get longterm radiation health problems.

At first, I thought I used the wrong link, and was watching STALKER 2

I've got to say, this new Call of Duty looks like the best one yet.

I love the 'Last Stand' concept, reminds me of the Quake 2 soldiers that would take a few last shots at you before dying.

''In addition to the basic classes like Heavy Gunner and Assault Class, this game will include Spec Op, Demo and a user customizable class creator. But to create a unique class, the player has to unlock the ability through a certain hours of gameplay. Only two of the classes are available to a first time player. The rest are unlocked as he/she gains more experience online and gains higher rank. It has been confirmed that players will be able to buy maps for Multiplayer mode, that contain special vehicles such as UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and the Little Bird helicopter.''

Long as theres classes and vehicles, I'm happy. Customizable classes aswell though, eh? Interesting. I hope they actually go into more detail in the MP teams, as in COD3 you could only be America or Germany, regardless of the Polish, Canadian and British campaign. A British MP team would be sex. Challenger II, baby. :D

''The second new feature in Multiplayer Mode is called "Deep Impact," it allows you to shoot through certain objects in the game that would normally be used as cover (i.e. Walls, floors, ceilings. It also depends on the type of weapon you carry, the distance you are shooting and the thickness of the object you?re shooting through.''

Awesome. I've always wanted to shoot through ceilings and doors and shit. Would be such a class feeling to chase some guy into a building, hearing him above you, and just emptying an AK clip on full auto into the wooden floorboards to see ''Username [AK47] Username'' come up at the bottom of the screen. :D

lol same, i was like wtf? Chernobyl? STALKER!?

I won't fault them for stealing a good idea, not that BF2 was even the first title to try it.

The animations look really cool! Should be fun to play, at least the first time through.

I suppose an art challenge, :naughty:

impressive, I want to see more vids concerning the mp sector.

If thats realistically done the AK-47 (or any other weapon they have in 7.62x39mm) will be the best weapon by far. Reasonably controlable full auto and the fact that it'll punch through brick or breeze block walls and kill what ever is on the other side.

Sign me up for an RPK with 75 round drum!

Man, I would fuppin' lay waste to any object I could find if I were let loose with the RPK. I don't care if I killed anyway; it would just look awesome.

Maybe the Russian Nationalist Terrorist group is planning to use uranium from the Chernobyl nuclear power plants to help build nuclear weapons, seeing as we've obviously seen nukes being used..

I never liked the COD games, To me COD 1-3 are the same game better gfx and more explotions. I have to say tho 4 has grabed my attention. Im pretty sure im going to be picking this up.

NUKES = Win

btw will this have coop?

No-one knows Asuka.:p
I see you asking alot of question that you can easily find the answers for in threads these days, ever heard of Google?:p
