Well, I am sure some of you can remember that fantastic combine metro-cop fan art drawing scribblehead did almost a year ago. I liked it that much that I now decided to give it some colour. I asked scribblehead and he sent me his drawing of the combine metro-cop and so I went to work and this is the result

-/[KLICK HERE TO SEE]\-

I would love to hear your thoughts about it. I could have gotten more detail out of it by dumping the drawing, but I liked it more, with the drawing visible.

Very nice...er, both of you. EVen though I don't remembe the orginal...

I have to say that USP looks a little weird. Ah, who cares.

Thank you for your replies. About the USP match, the gun was drawn a bit weird, and I didn’t had enough material from a usp match to draw the topside on hand at that moment (I have a whole library of guns and anatomical reference stuff @ my room) so I just tried to give the illusion its a usp match. I don’t even think scribblehead himself drew the gun to be an usp match.

C’mon scribblehead, post something to :D, I want to hear your thoughts about it

Very nice evil...sorry rarely check this part of the forum :D

- been a pretty long time since i've actually looked at the drawing, and some of it really creeps me out (in a negative way)....dont make me tell it to ya tho....its really creepy :D

Tho great job evil....i like what you did with the different color scheme.

Damn this reminds me, it'd actually be really cool to know if gabe and the team used it?

EDIT:.

Btw here's the 2 variations i finished and sent to gabe/valve.

Without a backdrop

With a backdrop

About USP - yeah at the time i did'nt have any material on the gun other than the bink vids....so granted it was very hard to do...i might work it over at some point, since it kinda bothers me that i did'nt quite finish it.

Legs seem a little short, but you have good digital art skills.. I love the clothing!

ha... that looks great! i love the use of light and shade, pureley class

Thanks allot for your replies!

Most of the compliments go to scribblehead for making this very nice drawing (love the pose and angle) and obviously every artist have something to complain when they review their work at a later date. Something that helps me to give a clean view into my own art is when drawing thumbnails for the initial big piece, I tend to do 10 before I go to bed, and when I wake up I review those 10 thumbnails and choose the best and work that one out. It all depends on the way you work but I like sleeping, it recharges you, and gives you a fresh view upon the world around when you wake up.

I am drawing something a bit sketchy right now that I will post soon and let you all have a stab at colouring, and try to learn from the different visions people will have of the sketchy drawing.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to do this m8 and I hope you will render my drawing soon

And @ badgy, I will have the mech ready Saturday, plus some face studies and maybe (if I can finish it on time) the legs of the tank

Only thing that I think is odd is (and it might be the angle he's holding it at... wait, no :) lol) the Colt .45 Match (?). I like it a lot, though. His pants color doesn't go with the rest of the picture, either. I really do like it though!

chubby? :) and the pants are almost the same colour as the colour the metro cops pants have in hl2

Absolutely awesome, although he looks alot like a badger :P

Well, he does seem to have a beerbelly and I dunno about metrocops´ pants, but those are definetly homo.

I like scribbleheads original colours more...
there's still some of the old flaws in the drawing...but the one that still bugs me the most(because it should be easy to fix) is the gun.
