Colour and shadow problems

Hey people i left a thread about this about 6 months ago but didnt get much help and i thought i would give it one more try.

My computer specs are

AMD Athlon X2 64 4200+
2 Gb ram
Nvidia 7600 GS 512mb

When there is dark parts of places in shadow it will either be pitch black or have weird colours in there that look out of place like red or yellow or green.
Is it a possibility my graphics card being damaged? If anyone needs to see the problem i will take screen shots.

Have you updated your driver?

yea they arent the best examples of the colour problem but you can see the shadow problem just imagine there bring a red yellow green or blue tinge to the shadow.

i think i had this problem before. try changing video drivers.

here is a photo that shows the colour problem not so much the pitch black shadow. Its shitting me up the wall any help please?

i tried a number of different drivers and none seemed to resolve the problem

Have you tried the Omega Drivers? (http://www.omegadrivers.net/)

Also, try running the game in DirectX 8.1. mode:

Left-click on the Steam tray icon.
Select "Games".
Click on the "My Games" tab.
Right-click on the game that you want to run in DX8 mode.
Select "Properties".
Click on the "General" tab.
Click on the "Set Launch Options" button.
Put in the window box: -dxlevel 81
Click "OK".
Click "Close".

Thanks ill give that a go but for some reason i cant get a hold of the drivers the site doesnt seem to be working?
