Hi,
I've been trying to get NPCs in to my HL2DM mod. Antlions, zombies and such work fine, but the ones I really want to get working are the combine troops.
I have looked at the tutorials on the VDC (which don't seem to work) and trawled various forums looking for a solution. I have replaced the .mdl files for the combine with the ones from the single player game as many people have suggested, and this has got me a little closer.
As it stands, the Combine troops just stand there. They will point their weapon at me, attack hand-to-hand if I get too close, and throw grenades when I move out of sight. I get this at the console:
Bad sequence (-1 out of 144 max) in GetSequenceLinearMotion() for model 'Combine_Soldier.mdl'
I have just moved to HL2 from years working with HL1, so am a little baffled at the moment - can anyone help me out? And has anyone successfully got the combine troops to fight in HL2DM?
