Until recently I never really liked any comedy music. A couple of Weird Al's songs have tickled my fancy, but everything else seemed sort of generic, so I basically wrote the "genre" off. Then it turns out that The Lonely Island's Incredibad is kind of incredible. Been listening to it all week on my mp3 player. This is probably my favourite track off the album:

Incredibad gets REALLY OLD after a while. Especially if you were around when On a Boat and Like a Boss got played fifty thousand times a day.

I ignored that phase of culture. I skip those two and Lazy Sunday chronically, but the rest of the album is great.

Bo Burnham and Demetri Martin is the obvious way to go. And yeah, Incredibad songs are ruined almost immediately in high school.

i think comedy music might be the one genre of music i would actually turn a blind ear too, and i'm usually the person who likes to keep his horizons broad. i think the closest i might of got to it was primus, maybe.

Agree with Bo Burnham, and agree about the goddamn high school part. Totally ruined it for me.

I usually turn on the radio and I seem to laugh at it non-stop.

Dethklok is some damn good metal...if you're into that genre.

A lot of "comedy" music is awful. The only good types are the kind that still have an excellent beat and don't rely entirely on their "comedic" lyrics to be enjoyable. Basically the comedy part should be secondary.

To some degree, I agree the music should also be good and not just filler for the lyrics, but the comedy should not be 'secondary' at all. And yeah, I forgot about Flight of the Choncords. I find Stephen Lynch to be a douchebag.
