Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, the latest installment in this extremely popular real-time strategy game Command & Conquer is now available on Steam with a $49.99 price tag.

The desperate leadership of a doomed Soviet Union travels back in time to change history and restore the glory of Mother Russia. The time travel mission goes awry, creating an alternate timeline where technology has followed an entirely different evolution, a new superpower has been thrust on to the world stage, and World War III is raging. The Empire of the Rising Sun has risen in the East, making World War III a three-way struggle between the Soviets, the Allies, and the Empire with armies fielding wacky and wonderful weapons and technologies like Tesla coils, heavily armed War Blimps, teleportation, intelligent dolphins, floating island fortresses, and transforming tanks.

That's cool they have this on Steam, shame it took so long. Never the less real good fun game, or at least in my opinion! :)

Edit: Even though I already have this game I thought I would have a quick look at the Steam page and it seems thats its for North America only...

I did go through the web page not Steam so maybe that makes a difference, not that it really matters to me 'cause I already have it. :p

All EA games (except Warhammer Online) are available everywhere except for the UK and Japan

That's why I can't view loads of links that you have given me.

Gah, if Steam sells this game for 5-10 bux, I might buy it.

It's worth $49 imo, it's a great game, the Story mode is really enjoyable to watch.

But for that much I'd still prefer a box. :|

Nice its on Steam, shame its an EA game and I wouldn't touch it if I was paid to play it.

Steam is getting more and more games :D Let's keep it that way!

EA have done nothing wrong to this game... the only thing you'll see is the Logo on startup.

There isn't even DRM... so boycotting this is pretty dumb.

Can't appear to get it in the UK. Link gives an error and a search on the steam site for red alert returns nothing :(

I'm actually getting pretty annoyed at publishers like EA taking the piss with the UK and not allowing their games to be available here :(

I'll remember you posted that.

It'll serve as a handy "told you so" in the future.

Generic EA RTS + Red Alert 2 theme = Red Alert 3.

This.

I haven't noticed a new RTS since Generals, even though the name keeps changing.
