Hmm thats odd... now seeing that in and out of the Retail box States nothing of what you have posted aboved and closed. Even funnier then that on the bottom of the box it has such a broad requirement recomendations:
2.4ghz - 512mb ram - DX9 - Windows - 4.5gig hard drive - Mouse- Keyboard - internet connection. Seem like you guys new what you where talking about because in theroy it "should work with any old mouse keyboard graphics card and hard drive" not being manufacture spacific makes one grab it off the shelf even more.

Oh wait maybe its the prescott CPU, its L2 cahce is acting like a buffer for the memory which is causing the errors!. Right. How about this. You keep finding resons on why over thousands of people cannot get there game to run and others can. While I dig deeper under your skin till its resolved.

Neither can I but in a semi way lol, Its just really anoying then makes me laugh. Maybe it needs what its states on the box no name brand hardware... where can I buy the brand Hard Drive? and Graphics card? where sells no name brands I want em!!

profusion I don't feel sorry for you one bit. If you took that ridiculously detailed spec out of your signature, maybe then I would take you a little more seriously. Class action law suit because you didn't try hard enough? Don't make me laugh. There are about 2 million people playing HL2, and a few hundred bitching about it not working on their messed up machines. If you cannot make YOUR computer run this game, buy and X box and play halo.

Ok lets put it all aside then. Ill start off fresh.

What do you suggest I do? reformat my perfectly running system? Reformating is an amature approch to resolving a problem on a computer system. Every other game I have installed my list: Doom 3, Need 4 speed undergound 2, Collin Mc ralley 4, Knights of honor, Starwares battle front, Age of empires, starcraft, counter stirke lol, Dawn of war, Forgotten battles, and magna cum larry, all works suuuuppperb except this game. My pc is virus free. I dont use IE virus inhibitor, but rather firefox, I have VPN with firewall and norton realtime corperate antivirus.

Now just because millions got theres workign doesnt mean the rest of us have improperly configured systems. My system is a peanut of systems compared to what I have configured for companys. Dont give me that crap. If you where in my shoes you would get irritated. If you dont have any suggestions to help the rest of us out then your irrational comments are not going to be commented back at from here on.
