Can anybody give me good advice regarding strategy? I seem to get my ass steamrolled constantly. What I'm trying to do now is build a WSC, send my engineers to cap some points and then send some MG's after them to watch their backs. Then I usually set up a Tank Depot and roll out some tanks for back up.

Does anyone do anything different?
Does anyone have good pointers?
Does anyone want to game?

From what you've said there I'd suggest getting a barracks and putting out a few squads of riflemen. They're handy the whole way through and once they get BARs they can take down any other infantry fairly easily (Exept grenadiers with MG42s, as they tear them to shreds)

Also, make sure you build enough engie squads to take alot fast. Remember, key targets for egnies are fuel depots. They, in my experience, are ususally what dictate how good a chance you have of winning.

Though personally, I prefur to play as the jerries.

Don't bother building a WSC at all if you're new to the game - the best strategy for Allies is generally just to spam riflemen. The more, the merrier. They can do everything.

I've noticed the less riflemen I have, the more tanks I can pump out. When I have no riflemen, I can make around 5-6 tanks and have them steamroll over points. The number is considerably less when I have riflemen around.

Aye but inteligent players will counter that by making plenty of infantry with AT, like Grenidiers, Rangers or Paratroopers. Tanks aren't really that effective against infantry if the infantry are moved about properly

If you're Axis, just spawn a few grenadiers and a bunch of MG squads. Should hold you over until those massive tanks.

arent there 100 other threads like this one??
anyways, IMO the best thing you can do is be aggressive
by that i mean from the very start you should be hassling key points and constantly pushing forward; dont spend too much time sitting back and building up as you will be giving your opponent the same opportunity
have you just crippled his infantry? did they just retreat back to base? good, take advantage of this by capping that open fuel point or cutting off their supply line nearby
be aggressive!!

Best tip in this thread so far. Keep up the pressure. Never let down. Don't turtle unless you have capped all the flags on the map.

I know i've already mentioned it, but when I play with you, I notice that you don't micro your inf well enough.

What I mean by that is, i'll call you over for inf backup or something, and you come rolling in with a big mass of maybe 4 or 5 squads, all grouped together.

You should move them all individually, and try to strategize instead of moving them in one mass.

Not only that, but you commonly use more soldiers than needed. Often times you can do with 1 or 2 squads, so long as you pay close attention to them, and micro to death.

agreed
micro micro micro
keep your infantry in good cover whenever possible and watch out for grenades, c4 etc
make sure your armor isnt being hit from behind
flank stationary MG and AT positions etc
