Compensation for purchasing the CE

Just curious, will CE purchasers be compensated somehow for buying something that isn't value for money? I've pre-ordered my copy of HL2CE and am already regretting on having to buy it... we all know how we didnt get value for money but can I suggest maybe when Dod:S comes out from Activision, Vivindi/Valve work a deal where CE owners can pick up a free/discounted copy of the game, at least that way we wont feel as cheated when compared to people who purchased the silver package CHEAPER than the CE and received MORE products... I think this issue needs to be addressed by Gabe or another Valve/Vivindi and we (customers) should be advised on the outcome...

Actually after playing it for the first time i'm happy but i do have 1 question, in my games menu, my DOD:Source seems to be unlocked and just awaiting it to be completed so that i can play it, for example team fortress, NS etc are still unhighlighted (grey text) and my css and hls etc are highlighted (white text)... my dod:source is also white texted aswell... does this mean I have dod:s when it comes out? FYI, i purchased the CE....

what r u on about u mofo, i never once said i was gonna change the deal, i initially said that i wish that i had order the silver pack instead of pre-ordering the CE, i would of lost my deposit cash if i cancelled my order, so i would of LOST MONEY... and i am satisfied with my package, maybe you should care about your own package, thats if you even have 1! you did nothing to answer my query about the highlighted dod:s so keep your useless random replies to yourself... :hmph:

Um Mr."Boy", you bought something that was specifically released at a premium price point to satisfy those who would pay a little more for a lot of things that don't do much. That's your own fault really and it's not like a lot of people will have made the same mistake.

Do you really think that Valve will somehow see your thread and then decide, "yes, okay, let's lose a lot of money that we have no reason to concede..."

I don't understand your thought process here and your hollow and childish insults really don't do your cause any favours. I mean, even if your request wasn't completely ludicrous, if I was Mr.Gabe himself and came on here and read the stuff you're writing, I wouldn't be inclined to do anything for you at all.

once again, another person has not read the above reply... I DO NOT WISH TO BE COMPENSATED, INSTEAD, I WANT CONFIRMATION AS TO WHY MY DOD:S LAUNCH ICON IN MY 'PLAY GAMES' LIST SEEMS TO BE ACTIVE... I DO NOT WANT COMPENSATION, IM HAPPY WITH THE CE, I DONT WANT GABE TO DO SOMETHING WITH THE CE PURCHASERS.... is this clear enough for you now?

I for one do want compensation though Anyone who bought the CE and opens it up can see how much of a true rip it is, comparing it to any other CE things. I am losing more respect for valve or vivendi all the time, whichever one keeps screwing me.
