Complete Noob, Tutorials Please

Hi,
I really want to get into modeling but I can not get a grip on it. Usually with anything computer related I can learn quickly. This has been the case for Programming, Graphics, Web Design, etc... but I simply can not get used to modeling and can not model anything more than a box with a few holes in it. I think the reason for this is I haven't seen any tutorials that explain the very basics of modeling, anyone have any links that might do that?
