From my recent experience:

-Gigabyte 6800gt (or any other Gigabyte video cards with that cool looking but extremely crap cooling system)
-Albatron motherboards- i have had no end of troubles with them (ive had 2 now), including one that had a fried LAN chip.

That's all for now, i thought it might be a good idea for people to post what components they've had bad experience with, to help people when buying new computer parts.

-Elixer Memory or any other no-name memory (Stick with good name brands like Corsair, Kingston, OCX etc.)

I agree, dido.

Raidmax and Deer Powersupplies I will add to that list.

Don't forget to read techie sites like anandtech.com to get the 411 on what they've tested and recommend.

You should stickie this Asus so we can have a huge collective list of products that don't work well or live up to expectations.

Asus graphics cards. They make top notch mobo's, but they should stay away from graphics cards.

never buy a SE videocard (9200SE, 9600SE, 9800SE) you might think it means special edition, but it actually means "software edition" meaning its meant only for business and home use, and is poor for gaming....

never buy a POWMAX powersupply or case.....terrible quality.

never buy a bunch of $3 80mm case fans, unless you want to wear earmuffs indoors....(their quite loud, especially ULTRA brand fans....)

If you buy products on newegg that have a lot of positive ratings, you're not gonna be dissapointed. :)

i have had 3 raidmax powersupplies(not my choice) and they all have worked fine. that is if your not doing any mods or addons

i got a raidmax 400w psu with my raidmax cobra case, and it did cause me problems (artifacting in hl2 and such, now know it wasn't the gpu), i am now a firm believer in brand power supplies- go Enermax!
