Hey i just spent most of my morning downloading movies from this game which is by the way the coolest out there since the original HL. Nothing comes close, the environments are cool :afro: and you can use them to your advantage. Go to www.gamespot.com and check the videos. One thing worried me tho, will a computer

TNT2 card
P3
1.ghz

run it. What do you guys thin

Well, which movie? The latest PC movie is Civ3: Conquest, then there are just a bunch of gamecube/xbox/ps2 movies.
But I can say already, without knowing which game it is: That card is WAY outdated for any game today. WAAAAAAAY outdated...

half-life 2 is what he's talking about, remember this is hl2.net ;p

He said from "from this game which is by the way the coolest out there since the original HL". He never said HL2. This is the hardware forum, and not necesarily HL2 related.
My theory was correct though :P

Well i was talking about Half Life 2. So my question remains the same will my computer be able to run it. If you want to the links to the videos ill give them to you.

Hm, I think TNT 2 is capable of it, but I would consider the Geforce 256 as minimum for some playability... Anyway, if you want to play it on a TNT2, play original HL. It will look about as good HL2, and probably be faster.

it will run, just not with all details on on hogh res. 1024 medium detail should work i hope (i have a comparable system here, only with amd)

1024 with medium details?! On a TNT2?! Oh dear... You'll probably need a Geforce3 at least to have that. Most likely a G4. Face it people, the TNT is OOOOOOLD!! Seriously old. It has the PROTOTYPE of the T&L unit, its in the beginning of hardware 3d acceleration. Get a new card. You can get one MUCH faster for below $100.

LMFAO 1024 on medium!!! Yeah right, not even close. More like 640 on low!

I agree with you guys about the system specifics and i think tnt 2 will run it pretty nicely. Im going to get a new computer sooner than later so it wont really matter. 640 doesnt make that much difference on games and on low settings (picture a shotting game with lag ehhhh) it wont really matter. As long as i get to see the bugs/opponents faces before they get pumped full of lead its okay. On internet i have a pretty good connection so im not worried. As long as it will run its okay, i played the ut2003 demo and its lagged but was okay.

dwadler since you wanted the downloads go to gamespot to the pc game section. Then look for half life 2 at teh bottom. In gamespace click thé movies button. Then you will have them :)

Actually, you'll be able to run it at playable framrates, with everyhting turned off.

I'd really reccoment a full upgrade, the video card at the least

Yes, and its fairly easy to find the setting. If there is a tickbox that says "Graphics", be sure to leave it off :P
