Hey! I currently have an iPod connected to my computer via firewire and I just noticed that when boot up with the iPod connected, my computer boots up but as soon as Windows is about to initialise the screen goes black and it won't boot up any further. Anyone else ever experienced that? 'Cause XP boots up fine on my other computers when the iPods connected. I know I don't have any viruses, could it be a conflict in hardware?

The weird thing is so long as XP has been booted and everything is running I can then connect my iPod and it works all fine with no notice of a conflict. I'd appreciate any help you guys can provide.

The Ipod is looked at as an external harddrive when you boot up. Maybe there is an issue with that. I would check that ipod site or others.

You're simply not supposed to have it connected when you boot up as all the ipod is is a harddrive with MP3 capabilities.
