Seeing as the fall/winter seasons are just around the bend, and my newest PC is situated just feet from my hearth, I have a question: do you think I run the risk of overheating?

My set-up (2500+barton, 512MBDDRPC3200,2Harddisks,9600PRO) has absolutely no fans besides the ones on the CPU, GPU, and Power Supply.

?

ya, either move it... or move it. AND DON'T PUT PAPER NEAR IT, PUT THE PRINTER FAR AWAY!

If I were you I would definetly move it...Why have it there if you don't have to? It may not necessarily cause overheating, though it certainly might, but in that situation I would feel safer having moved it in any case.

...but there's nothing like sitting next to the fire on a cold January day.

And I had an older computer in the same spot and nothing happened to it.

Wow i would strongly suggest modding some fans into that case. At least one in the front and one in the back, cause thats no good at all.

why da ****do have your computer near the fire? its so damn unneccesary... If you want to feel warm on a januari day, buy some glue and sniff on it untill you feel that your beginning to get warm...

1. id reccomend immedatley installing atleast 1 ehaust and 1 intake fan.

2. its not problem unless you have a fire going.....at witc point i would reccomend moving your computer away from the fireplace even if you arnt using it.
