Now it won't boot. I just shut it down about an hour ago, turned it on about 10 minutes ago (in various ways) and it won't boot. Or rather, I suspect it is booting but there's something wrong with the graphics card. The computer turns on, there is power, etc. but the monitor isn't getting any input from the PC itself, and the PC does a particular whining and then goes BEEEEpbeepbeepbeepBEEEEEEEP! really loudly, then stops and just whines at me. I have no idea what the problem is. I haven't opened it up yet, but I will tonight.

Any tips?

Throbs, really. I can feel the damn thing vibrating (NO, SHUT UP TOLLBOOTH) through my desk. I better pull it apart tonight.

Maybe I shouldn't fix it, then I can browbeat my dad into getting a new PC. :D

rofl @ vibration.
Freakin pc froze 2x now during playing of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
only at Pripyat, goddamn bigass buildings. One of the times
it told me that NV4.exe stop working correctly or someshat,
had to hard boot both times. Game runs pretty smoothly otherwise

Self destructed again? Is this a new pc now from the last one? If so then I think your power company is putting out some shitty power imo.

Nah, it's the same PC. I fix it, month later it explodes. Rinse. Repeat.

Incidentally I fixed it again. -____-

Hey at least you had a decent computer before it died. And you managed to resurrect it. Unlike mine. I miss GMOD. I'm now left replaying Fable for the third time, that and ocarina of time on the N64.
