Computer soo slow after TF2

After i shut down TF2 my computer acts like its being dragged through mud. It's slow as hell for about 5 min afterwards. Is this the memory dumping all the game files or something or am i having other problems.

Do you exit out of Steam as well? Or leave it running in the background?

I never have Steam running when I'm not playing a game. Can be a memory hog at times.

I've never had an issue with the computer being slow after any Steam games, and I leave Steam running for days at a time.

It doesn't sound like TF2 to me. You could have some other software which is interfering with it or similar.

My comp runs slow for the first few seconds but thats just cause of the engine is still running, after my desktop icons flash its fine.
