Computer Speakers Question..

Well, I have one speaker set, from my old pc. I have a brand new 2.1/2.0 system (speakers + subwoofer), is it possible to combine them into a 5.1?

Also, how exactly does one set up a 5.1 system, like which wire goes where in the sound card kind of thing. I have a Creative SB Aud2.

Usually you can set what channel you want each jack to output as in the card's control panel, but by default, the green jack is for front speakers, the orange is for center/sub, and the black is for rear.

Perhaps creative uses different color codes than other sound card makers, but this is similar to mine which uses orange for center/sub by default:

sigh..the subwoofer one never seems to work, the yellow/orange one of course.

Turn up the sub woofer volume in the creative speaker settings control panel and check bass re-direction. Then try again.
