After an attempt at overclocking my amd athlon xp 2500+ by upping the multiplier and fsb only by small amounts and saved the changes my computer restarts and now all it does is makes these beeping noises and won't go to windows xp. Could anyone tell me how set it so i can go back in and just put factory defaults?

What kind of beeps? Looong beeps over and over again? Those beeps mean that the memory couldnt boot correctly. Anyhow, you need to reset the CMOS on the mobo. Its a jumper near the battery on the mobo. It should say "CCMOS1" next to it. Unplug PSU cable, move the jumper to slots 2 and 3 for 1 minute, then move it back to slots 1 and 2. Try OCing with a diff. RAM ratio, or loosen up the RAM timings.

i think i pulled wrong plugs one said power supply and wone reset power supply? and now when i plug them back i cant ever turn my computer back on

I jsut meant to unplug the power cable from the PSU. Then reset the CMOS, and start up the comp.

BTW, please shorten your sig length to 4 lines or less.

sgt can i talk to u on icq because i think i messed up big time its hard to explain post by post i added u to my icq list, because what i did is unplugged something called power reset and power sw? I think and know i plug them back in and i cant even turn on my computer. Please help im feeling very stressed

Nothing to worry about. Power sw and power reset are the jumpers that allow the buttons on the case to start up the comp. I cant tell you exactly how to put them in, but your mobo manual shows a pic of where the power sw and power reset jumpers go.

BTW, i am on ICQ now.
