I just opened a folder and moved it ontop of the subtitles. They ruin the comic relief because of the bad timing.

The subtitles weren't even on by default for me. But if they were, I'd know I'd be able to turn them off, because it's obvious visually that they're not hard-coded into the video, so I'd try to click around the player for an option.

Closed captions usually mean that all sound is being described, apart from just the dialogue.
