That's comparing apples with oranges. One is going faster than the speed of sound, hundreds of feet in the air, that costs millions of dollars, and is capable of launching nukes, while another is simulated. I hate how the focus is put on "oh wow he/she is really good at Guitar Hero" and not "oh wow he/she can really play the guitar". That's like the fat football fan. He's a big fan of his team yet he's a fat bastard who is following the dream of another person. Get out there and do it!

Guitar Hero is a game. The whole point of most (or arguably all) games is to experience something that everyday life can't give you. Most people do not have the time, money, patience, or aptitude to learn how to play a guitar, join a band, and play an awesome guitar solo in front of cheering fans. Guitar Hero is a fun alternative to dumping hundreds of hours into a hobby that might not even get you anywhere.

Would you be saying the same thing to someone who plays Counter-Strike a lot? "Hey man, why don't you get a REAL gun and shoot some REAL counter-terrorists, and blow up a REAL military target for REAL money?"
