So, the drawings were for a game that someone I know was making. He needed someone to draw some bad guys and this is what I came up with. Don't mind the Darth_Vader signature, that's my name on another forum. I messed up on the skeleton's ribs thus making a sort of illusion. Anywho, the game never got made and I wasted a couple mintues. I like the mech one though. Thinking about doing it in full 3-d.

I give you a one.

Looks very Terminator. I give you 2507 out of 320471.

They look like they were drawn by a ginger.

Mech's cool but the cyborg looking thing sucks, put more effort into it.

You call that a boss?

Now this is a boss:

****in lol..
Anyways dude learn some anatomy...find you a downloadable book by andrew loomis and study him! Get some hogarth books, draw from life..etc. and that understanding will help you improve lots!

EDIT:Anyways dude keep your head up and work at it, we all suck at first.

Also check out my sketchbook sometime hehe

Hahaha, Hammer, I was reading your post and once I saw the word, "anatomy" I thought, "Yeah, he needs to read Loomis," and then there it was. ^5.

Damn you just made me 200 kr phone bill with those big pics. But they are fine.

First one reminds me of a Dreadnaught from Warhammer
The second is like a Terminator

First one actually reminded me of...well, it looks kinda like a Thor, smashed it together with a Daishi and a Dire Wolf, and gave it a body like an Adder.

Y'know, Mechwarrior.

You kind of need to draw to a bigger scale if you're doing a proper concept. It's a bad sign when your signature for the work is bigger than the work itself. You also need to study this stuff from multiple angles, or try drawing from a more interesting one, especially for the mech which is indecipherable and flat from that perspective.

Regardless of the images themselves, you have the problem that whatever you do 'big final boss mecha' and 'cyborg skeleton' aren't exactly great design concepts in the first place.

But then, that's serious criticism for serious art, which I suppose you have no pretensions to, and it's not like I can draw anything great either.

So I just checked all the comments. Thanks, I guess. The second one was supposed to be Terminator-ish. Also, I know they're 2-d. Gimme a break. And something I didn't point out. The game was supposed to be a 8 - 16 bit game so I didn't bother with the 3-d models. I could try doing them in other angles and in 3-d if you guys actually want to see them that way.

No one is telling you to make 3D models. They're telling you to add depth into 2D images.

This seems strange to me, since the concepts are face on and most 8-16 bit titles were side-scrollers...

Yeah, most are side scrollers. The pictures were just for ideas. So he knew what the characters might look like.

Hey mayne, not everyones got the time to draw a bajillion things in a year. Some dont even have time to draw three, STOP JUDGING HIM/ME.

What? Son, WHAT? If you have school, you have time to draw to your hearts content. That's what class and lectures are for, drawing because you get bored. I actually believe sketching during class helps one pay more attention to the class. If I'm not sketching during a lecture, chances are I will space out.

Drawing penises doesnt count!

Give the cyborg a rifle, and MAYBE.

Y'know, Mechwarrior.

My favorite is still the Mad Cat.
