wow... just wow... Never heard about this until now, but it may be old news. This was introduced in 2002... but hell, it still looks awesome.

the prob with hydrogen is that it's basically still a battery. It takes electricity to produce hydrogen, and then you are just turning the hydrogen back into electricity at 50% efficiency or whatever it is. Seems simpler to just put electricity right into the car. Batteries are getting lighter and more energy dense.

They said you can buy "shells" for the platform so you can own a bunch of different shells that would make it look like you own a bunch of different cars
 
Yeah this is old, even that ep from Top Gear is from late 2002 or early 2003. Still, I wish GM would pull its finger out and make the things a reality.
 
Lol, I did a report on this in the 8th grade and said we could expect to be driving it by 2007.
