Condition Zero problem

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, so sorry if it isnt.

I just got CZ today, and when I try to play a game it hangs up on "Precaching resources" or whatever. Any idea why it would do this, and how to fix it?

Try deleting clientregistry.blob and platform.gcf with Steam closed and launching it again. This will delete all Steam updates/your automatic login settings.
You relogin after it DLs the Steam platform updates.. and voila! If that doesn't work, try deleting the actual .gcf files for CZ

C:\Program Files\Steam\clientregistry.blob
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\platform.gcf

OR

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\condition zero.gcf
