Confused....

Hi, I recently posted about my card getting horrible score in 3DMark03 but i found out that FRAPS was bottlenecking my card. HOw do i kno? Well i ran a couple of tests (like around 5) with fraps on and scored only 9500+ and without fraps i get over 12000+ at ultra clocked speed. But this still doesnt explain why i am still getting horrible frame rates in hl2 and deus ex:IW.
No matter how low i set my graphics settings it still lags even though im just walking around in hl2.
Is there a good driver for a 6800 gt?cuz i am using the ones from nvidia version 66.93.

Specs:
p4 2.8 @ 3.36
512 DDR RAM<--wonder if the ram is the problem?
leadtek 6800 gt 256mb

I think 66.93 IS the latest drivers unless you guys can suggest me to another driver. I upgraded from a 9800 pro so i spent doubled the price but didnt get doubled the speed. My 9800 pro scored about 6000+ in 3dmark03 and in 6800 gt it scored abuot 12000+ but yet i still do not see the speeds increase.
Like i sayd befor i set everyting on low on hl2 and i still lag more than my 9800 pro which was set on high is really disappointing. I still think it might be my ram and i cant afford anymore since i just upgraded my video card.So any suggestions?
