HOW can I actually connect my 5.1 speakers to Xbox 360 through HD VGA cable? Please HELP FAST.

Use an optical cable to connect the 360 to an amp and then to the speakers.

Whats an optical cable? Where can I get it? Cost? & Yes, both monitor & VGA cable have MALE connectors. How to connect them?

Even the PS2 had optical audio output. It's been out for years. YOu can even get it at wal mart for $15.00. I would order one for much cheaper, and then return the overpriced one when your order arrives. :D

That's strange, didn't it come with a conversion adapter?

You'll have to order a male to female VGA adapter from somewhere like www.newegg.com or www.monoprice.com You can also get the optical cable there. Use the search feature. I think you can get the adapter for .99 or 1.99 and the optical cable should be much cheaper there.

Optical cable = fiber optic FYI It uses light transmission for the cleanest possible signal. Whatever you are plugging it into must have an optical input! My stereo doesn't have one - yours might, but check before you order it.

& How do I know whether this optical cable connects to my Subwoofer or not? I mean does it have THREE inputs for center, front & rear speakers?

no. the sub hooks into your reciever/amplifier.

the optical hooks into your reciever/amplifier. The optical does not hook into the sub. If your reciever/amplifier has an optical input, then you plug it in, and from your reciever/amplifier you plug all your speakers into it.

For example, I have a 100 watt x2 channel Kenwood KR-V6080. It can also play in dolby pro logic surround which uses 5 speakers. Mine doesn't have an optical input, so all I can do is use the red and white plugs, plug them into the back in one of the input slots like Video 1, then from my kenwood, it has speaker wires that go to my 2 or 5 speakers. Right now I'm using 2, but it also has a center channel and 2 rear speaker outputs that I can hook speakers up to, and use the Kenwood to switch it to pro-logic surround in order to use them.

If your reciever/amplifier (which is your home stereo, or pc sound control box, or sound card) does not have an optical input, then you can't use it. You will have to use whatever inputs it has. Commonly, this is a 3.5mm stereo jack, but almost as often it is a left(white) RCA plug and a right(red) RCA plug.

The RCA jacks are most often used in larger audio equipment, like home stereos and TV's, and the 3.5 stereo jack is most often used in small audio equipment, like portable audio equipment, and many sound cards.

You can do a quick search on google, google images, or wikipedia if you need a visual or more in depth description of the terms I am using.
