Connection between Portal and HL2?(spoilers)

Aperture Science, Black Mesa, as you know, the two names were posted on a wall in Portal. Does that suggest Aperture Science's in the same world of HL?
Althouth Portal is a little game, it comes with a huge backdrop.

So what do you guys think?

Yes. It's the only solid link we have with the HL world. Clearly it's set in the HL universe & Apeture Science was in competition with Black Mesa.

I hope more is revealed maybe in future Portal map packs (maybe we'll see the test facility from the perspective of another subject) or maybe even EPIII.
