Connection Fluctuation?

i have wireless internet and just today i was playing bf2 when all of a sudden i started to get massive lag spikes. EX: i was playing normaly for about 5 minutes with ping at about 40, and then all of a sudden my ping shot up to in the 700's then after a few seconds slowly went back down to around 40, then a little while later back up to around 700. It wasnt the server either because i looked at everyone elses ping and it was just fine. Then after i dissconnected i joined another server and five minutes into the game i was kicked to the server screen with the message: "your connection to the server has been lost". I had this happen numerous times after that too. My wireless router is in the next room, only seperated by one wall. Theres no wireless phones or microwaves in the way either. Im not downloading anything. Does ne one have any idea what the problem here is?

Well, try the default troubleshooting stuff: uninstall, reinstall the cards drivers, restart the modem itself several times, even maybe leave it off for a half an hour. Other than that, it's beyond me because I have wired cable.

Wired, ftw, imo.
